Rob Bell is VP, Production and Development at Dark Castle Entertainment.
Rob started at Dark Castle Entertainment in 2015 as an Executive Assistant in the Production & Development department, working on films: The Nice Guys, written and directed by Shane Black, starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe; Suburbicon, directed by George Clooney, starring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore; and Superfly, starring Michael K Williams.
Rob became a Story Editor in 2018 and later, Director of Development in 2022. More recently, he co-produced Dark Castle’s prequel to 2009’s Orphan, Orphan: First Kill, starring Julia Stiles and Isabelle Fuhrman. Currently, Bell is co-producing Dark Castle’s TV series adaptation of 2011’s Unknown.
Prior to Dark Castle, Rob was a Script Reader for Paradigm and in the Distribution department at Open Road Films, working on films such as Chef, written, directed by, and starring Jon Favreau; Nightcrawler, written and directed by Dan Gilroy and starring Jake Gyllenhaal; and Spotlight, written and directed by Tom McCarthy, starring Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams.
